Playing all summer long, E.P. & L.P. pairs Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters and classics with a menu of Chef Louis Tikaram’s greatest hits at the city of stars’ newest state-of-the-art outdoor cinema theater
New this Summer—West Hollywood’s modern Asian eating and drinking house, E.P.&L.P., takes the concept of ‘dinner and a show’ to new heights with the premiere of Melrose Rooftop Cinema on Monday, July 17.
Playing weekly through October, the Melrose Rooftop Cinema—with a seating capacity of 200—will feature over two dozen cult classic movies and new releases alike including Good Fellas, Top Gun, Pretty Woman, Pulp Fiction, La La Land, Dirty Dancing, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, and Back to the Future. With screenings on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday night on the rooftop space adjacent to L.P., the venue will offer General Admission ($15) and VIP seating ($25), with a supplemental pre-screening ‘Express Menu’ dinner available for $34 with modern Asian fare from Aussie-Fijian Executive Chef Louis Tikaram.
Screenings will begin at sundown with most films running from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. The cinema will utilize wireless technology with individual headsets provided to guests to maximize the cinema experience via a state-of-the-art Da Lite 16’ x 19’ screen. From 6 p.m. until cinema doors open at 7:30 p.m., cinephiles can order the “Express Menu” ($34* per person; with reserved movie seating and expedited service) at E.P. Restaurant featuring a three-course dinner of Executive Chef Louis Tikaram’s greatest hits including Sticky Spare Ribs, Lou Dogg’s Crispy Skin Chicken, Green Vegetable Curry, and Mango Pudding. During each movie screening, guests can imbibe on signature summer cocktails and wine from the adjoining L.P. Rooftop, as well as purchase concession snacks including theater favorites and soft drinks.
