This Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, 2016, California brasserie Terrine will kick off the summer season with the first in a series of all-day, all-you-can-eat Backyard BBQs on the restaurant’s iconic patio. As part of his new tradition, Chef/Owner Kris Morningstar will roll out his grill from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and dish up a never-ending spread of traditional, all-American fare prepared with Terrine’s French-California twist on Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day, all for $45++.
Marinated Swordfish Brochettes
Terrine’s summer 2016 BBQs are back by popular demand from foodies, fellow chefs, and neighborhood friends alike, as upwards of 500 guests were treated to Morningstar’s AYCE holiday menu at each of the Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving events last year. Favorites from past menus that will reappear throughout the series include Texas-Style Smoked Beef Brisket with chimichurri; Pickle Brine Fried Chicken; Marinated Swordfish Brochettes; Crispy Potato & Hatch Chile Tacos; and Sticky Toffee Cornbread; in addition to several new dishes.
To pair with Chef’s bottomless BBQ, celebrated Head Bartender Ryan Wainwright will also offer Memorial Day guests all-day Happy Hour—a first for the restaurant. Beat the summer heat with a number of special beers and Ancient Age bourbon cocktails including the Negreezy Punch ($8) with Beefeater, Campari, Alessio Vermouth di Torino, and fresh orange juice; Ancient Age Old Fashioneds ($10); Ancient Age Bucks ($10); and tall cans of Stiegl Beer ($8). From the wine cellar, Managing Partner and Wine Director François Renaud will be on-hand to serve several still and sparkling rosé wines, all hand-picked to complement Morningstar’s robust selection of Americana cuisine.
