Product To Be Showcased at Pop-Up Store and Event at Ron Robinson in Los Angeles on August 31
G-SHOCK proudly announces the launch of a custom limited edition MUDMASTER GG-1000 in partnership with street-style oriented fashion label Midnight Studios. The timepiece features a custom metal clasp with engraved Midnight Studios and G-SHOCK logos and will be available exclusively at a pop-up shop within Ron Robinson at the Fred Segal center located at 8118 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, CA from August 31 to September 7, 2016.
To kick off the pop-up shop, G-SHOCK and Midnight Studios will host an event open to the public at Ron Robinson on August 31 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. PST. Forty pieces of the custom Midnight Studios MUDMASTER will be sold at the event along with a tote bag and a limited edition t-shirt in a special record sleeve package.
Midnight Studios was founded in 2014 by then 19-year-old Shane Gonzales. Gonzales, who got his first gig in fashion interning for Russ Karablin’s streetwear company, SSUR, notes that his main inspirations span beyond screen printing and skateboarding.
Midnight Studios’ collections reference many punk-era styles making the toughness and emphasis on functionality inherent in G-SHOCK watches a natural fit for Gonzales’ style.
The MUDMASTER GG-1000 is outfitted with rugged capabilities including Shock Resistance, 200M Water Resistance, Twin Sensor Technology of Digital Compass and Thermometer, Auto LED Light (Super Illuminator), World Time (31TZ / 48 Cities + UTC), 4 Daily Alarms & 1 SNZ, 1/100th Sec. The limited edition G-SHOCK MUDMASTER GG-1000 designed by Midnight Studios packaged with the tote bag and t-shirt will retail for $450 USD and will be available exclusively in Los Angeles at the Ron Robinson at Fred Segal. Following the pop-up, limited quantities will be available online at Midnight-USA.com.
