About GENERAL PUBLIC: Award-winning actress and artist Portia de Rossi introduces GENERAL PUBLIC, a first-of-its-kind art curation and publishing company that creates exacting reproductions of original works by a select group of emerging and established painters across the globe. The Synograph™, a groundbreaking 3-D technology developed by GENERAL PUBLIC, captures texture and brushwork in such detail that it is nearly indistinguishable from the original. For the first time, the Synograph™, like a photograph, allows the artist to create multiple reproductions, thereby making them available to the general public . The new venture debuted at www.GENERALPUBLIC.art and with an exclusive collaboration with RH, Restoration Hardware. Founded on the principle of supporting artists, GENERAL PUBLIC provides a royalty to the artist from each Synograph™ sold. Reproductions, as dictated by the artist, are offered as open or limited editions. Prices of a framed Synograph™ range from $500 to $3000.
