To say there has been rosé trend would be the wine tasting understatement of the decade. June 10th marks National roséday which was founded by wine expert and innovator Bodvar Hafström.
We have a list of some of our favorite, versatile wines, coupled with their appealing salmon, coral and ballet-slipper-pink colors, makes them very approachable and festive—whether you choose to enjoy rosé, a frosé frozen cocktail or even brosé (rosé for bros) for celebrating this weekend.
J Brut Rosé: Just when you thought rosé couldn’t possibly get any better – boom, a bubbly rosé. This sparkling wine from J spends two years aging en tirage to develop integrated flavors of Fuji apple, blood orange and ripe raspberry, complemented by notes of hazelnut and blanched almonds. SRP $35
Tasting Notes: Our J Brut Rosé sparkles with a vibrant, pink salmon hue and offers layered aromas of fresh strawberries, raspberries, Fuji apples, rose petals and a savory swath of toasted hazelnuts. On the palate, an elegant mouthfeel complements flavors of ripe raspberry, blood orange and blanched almonds. Lively acidity and steely minerality frame a lingering, lush finish. Pair this elegant sparkling rosé with roasted beet and goat cheese salad, a simple plate of smoked salmon canapés, or blue cheese.
