HoldYou Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to providing financial assistance to families in need who have a child facing a critical illness or injury, is pleased to announce its 3rd Annual Art Auction at The Loft at Liz’s Gallery on the evening of September 15, 2018.
In the last two years, HoldYou Foundation has helped over 125 families with financial assistance for non-medical urgent needs such as utilities, rent, childcare, and travel while their children were in treatment for a life-threatening medical crisis. Such a diagnosis is difficult for all families, but for many, work disruption, unpaid leaves, increased expenses and decreased income leave them completely overwhelmed as they try to remain at their child’s side.
“HoldYou Foundation is completely reliant on the generosity of the community to fulfill our mission. We are grateful for the continued support of Liz Gordon, The Loft at Liz’s gallery, and the numerous emerging, collected and renowned artists who donate their amazing works of art,” stated Natalie Hill, President of HoldYou Foundation. “This year’s event promises to be our best yet with featured artists including Cleon Peterson, Shepard Fairey, Gary Baseman, Michael Flechtner, Norman Korpi, Elwood T. Risk and Senon Williams among dozens of other amazing talents. Proceeds from the event will provide critical assistance to vulnerable families, 76% of which are living below the poverty line during their child’s treatment.”
“While being out of work for a month during one of many hospital stays, I was given information about a wonderful organization called HoldYou Foundation from our social worker. I applied, and they were able to help me out with my rent for the month,” said Lauren, HoldYou recipient. “I can’t explain enough what a tremendous relief this was for me and my children. My kids and I want to thank HoldYou Foundation from the bottom of our hearts for their help at this time in our lives.”
The 3rd Annual Art Auction, curated by The Loft at Liz’s Gallery Director Randi Kreeft, to be held on September 15, 2018, from 7–10PM will include the ability to purchase showcased art, silent auction, specialty raffles, hors-d’oeuvres, and beverages.
