West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce (WHCC) and City of West Hollywood annually partner to produce State of The City, on Thursday, June 22, 2017, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, at The Lot, 1040 North Poinsettia Place.
State of The City provides a unique opportunity for the public to hear from West Hollywood Mayor John Heilman, City Manager Paul Arevalo, West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Chair Keith Kaplan and President and CEO Genevieve Morrill. These leaders will share their thoughts on economic and social climate, new initiatives and vision of growth for West Hollywood. The public is invited to attend this luncheon to engage with civic, business and political leaders of the City.
This year’s State of The City: City in Motion, presented by Faring, will focus on mobility. A panel discussion moderated by award-winning Anchor and Reporter Robert Kovacik of NBC4 Southern California will explore how businesses in West Hollywood are getting on board and benefitting from all the city’s mobility options whether by foot, bike, transit or electric vehicles.
Panelists include:
Glen Becerra, Deputy Executive Officer, Communications at LA County Metropolitan Transportation Authority
Hilary Norton, Founding Executive Director, FAST
Timothy Burr Jr., Director of Public Policy for Lyft
Mott Smith, Principal, Civic Enterprise
“Our great City is in motion and going in the right direction”, stated WHCC President and CEO, Genevieve Morrill. “This year, we’re going beyond the basics by exploring all West Hollywood’s mobility options and strategizing how businesses, small or large, can fully benefit from them.”
“The City of West Hollywood is so fortunate to have such a strong collaboration with our business community. This collaboration has consistently played an important role in helping the City to explore our current and future challenges,” expressed City of West Hollywood Mayor John Heilman. “Our businesses help our city build its vibrant, active, and exciting character. The success of our businesses is the foundation of making West Hollywood a desirable place to live, work, and play.”
