For over fifty years, the Sunset Marquis Hotel has served as a home-away-from-home for musicians including Led Zeppelin, Blondie, KISS, Black Sabbath, The Killers, Slash, Chris Cornell, Green Day, Aerosmith, Kings of Leon and many more. The music industry has played a significant role in securing this serene garden oasis its iconic status. To pay homage to those roots, Sunset Marquis continues its tradition of the summer acoustic music showcase Live @ Sunset Marquis.
The summer concert series is open to hotel guests, industry insiders and local Angelenos. The series, which will begin May 20 and run through October 14, will feature emerging and established artists including Ruby Velle, Queen V, and The Brevet. Each poolside show offers attendees an up close and personal listening experience with tomorrow’s next big artists.
“Each summer we get the chance to discover new artists and give back to the entertainment community that has supported us so well throughout the years,” said Chris Cope, Vice President Marketing, Raleigh Enterprises. “We look forward to welcoming the local community to experience this year’s performances and expanding LA’s vibrant music scene.”
Previous artists include Gary Clark, Jr., Run River North, ZZ Ward, LEMMO, Ana Cristina, Alex & Sierra (X-Factor Winners), Madeline Fuhrman and Lena Fayre to name a few.
These intimate performances will be held on the Villa Pool Deck and will hold a maximum of 200 attendees, allowing each guest to feel connected with the performing artists. Doors will open at 6pm with performances from 7pm to 10pm. Show dates will take place once a month on May 20, June 24, July 22, August 26, September 16 and October 14.
