On Thursday, Friday or Saturday, finding an available shampoo bowl at Nine Zero One Salon on Westbourne Drive was as challenging as nabbing a lastminute bike at Soul Cycle. “We were bursting at the seams,” says Nikki Lee, coowner with Riawna Capri of the five-year-old salon. Now those seams have been let out with a new location on Melrose Place that offers seven more stations, for a total of 20, in a “beautiful open bright space,” says Lee. The aesthetic is urban modern chic, or, as Lee puts it, “a combination of Riawna and me. We’re both urban; she’s modern, and I’m chic.”…
