This Sunday, October 29, on one of our favorite Sunset Blvd. patios East of Weho, Executive Chef Maycoll Calderon launches brunch service at Tintorera, Silver Lake’s newly opened modern Mexican restaurant. For the first two weeks, brunch will be offered on Sundays only, with Saturdays added beginning November 11.
Alongside signature Tintorera dishes such as Hamachi Tiradito with blood orange and Mixed Ceviche with hummus and chilies, the new brunch menu highlights Chef Maycoll Calderon’s bright, fresh style of modern Mexican cooking with his take on classic dishes including huevos rancheros and huevos divorciados, as well as a homemade pan de muerto in honor of the upcoming Dia de los Muertos. Special brunch beverage options include mimosas and micheladas, in addition to the restaurant’s stellar cocktail menu.
New brunch highlights include:
Huevos Rancheros
sunny-side up eggs, roasted tomatoes, chilies, avocado, cotija, cilantro
Huevos Divorciados
sunny-side up eggs, green-red, tomato sauce, roasted fingerlings, herbs
Homemade Buttermilk Pancakes
agave honey, bananas
Scrambled Eggs
chilies, tomato, black beans, chorizo, cotija
WHEN: Saturday – Sunday from 10:30am – 3:00 p.m.
WHERE: 2815 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026
Tintorera features the produce of California alongside elevated Mexican-style seafood, paying homage to Chef Maycoll Calderón and restaurateur Walter Meyenberg’s love of their home in Mexico City. They created an environment where patrons can linger from brunch (starting this Sunday), to happy hour and beyond. The menu emphasizes crudos and raw plates, alongside roasted fish and meat dishes. The new brunch menu stays true to the exciting flavors of Mexico and it all kicks off this Sunday.
