Make sure a visit to this low-key Japanese eatery on W. Third Street is your fall and early winter dining plans. Why? From now until the end of the year, Robata JINYA (and JINYA Ramen Bar in Studio City), are offering a new seafood-centric specialty bowl #LobsterMeRamen. This includes a hefty soothing portion of noodles holding a giant lobster hanging off the side of the bowl, and a pork broth that melds lobster sauce, green onion, Brussels sprouts and a slow cooked egg floating around, along with 3-4 large wontons stuffed with more lobster and shrimp. All this – it’s hard to finish an order by yourself, for $18 bucks! But, there is a downside. They will only make 10 bowls a day, so get there early for dinner and have a few sakes while you wait on the patio or at the izakaya bar.
If you do require more food, the menu is so expansive with sushi rolls and sashimi, beef tongue tacos or truffle laced tempura Brussels sprouts, that you won’t go peckish for long. If you do love truffles, also look into the albacore truffle roll with avocado or the snow crab and truffle foie gras roll. And, a hot off the menu tip, if you miss the wildly popular the summer “truffle splash” bowl, just ask for a #sofancy.
