Charles March debuted his first Los Angeles photography exhibition, SEASCAPE., at Venus Over Los Angeles on Nov. 5. The exhibition will be open from Nov. 8 through Dec. 3.
Guests in attendance at the VIP preview included Keanu Reeves (actor, The Matrix), Sir Lucian Grainge (Chairman and CEO, Universal Music Group), Adam Lindemann (Owner, Venus Over LA), Lady Kinvara Balfour (Director), Andrea Fiuczynski (EVP and Chairman of the Americas, Sotheby’s), Justin Bell (British racer driver), Anthony Gordon Lennox (Founder, AGL Communications) and many other esteemed attendees. Guests mingled and sipped on Veuve Cliquot champagne during the preview, which was followed by an intimate sit-down dinner at the gallery.
This new series of pictures that make up SEASCAPE mark a departure for March from his abstract photographs of trees and wooded landscapes to focus his attention on the sea, trying to capture something of its ethereal feeling. For this exhibition he focused on just one short stretch of the Atlantic coast off the island of Eleuthera. The pictures in this exhibition were all shot over four years at various times in the year.
