The Hollywood Farmers Market and the parent non-profit, SEE-LA, is celebrating 25 successful years of providing the Los Angeles community with sustainable and fresh produce with a special market event on Sunday, May 1, 2016. This event will be followed by four more consecutive Sunday events throughout May 2015, featuring cookbook signings and demonstrations by a few of Los Angeles most celebrated chefs and authors. The chefs participating in the weekly culinary signings and demos include Susan Feninger (Mud Hen Tavern, Border Grill), Curtis Stone (Maude), Neal Fraser (Redbird, BLD), Suzanne Tracht (Jar), Mihn Phan (Hollywood Coffee Shop), Brendan Collins (Birch), Betty Fraser and Denise DeCarlo (Grub), Valerie Gordon and Emmy-nominated Chef Nathan Lyon (PBS’ Growing a Greener World), to name only a few.

On Sunday, May 1 from 8:45a-12:30p, the Amoeba Music Main Stage at Cahuenga & Ivar will feature live appearances by local performers and some of the Market’s top musical talent. At 12:30p, an official ceremony celebrating the Market’s longevity will take place there, featuring high-ranking local officials, original HFM farmers and other special guests. The day will also be marked by celebrity chef appearances at the Chef Stage, and book signings by well-known authors and cookbook writers. The celebrations continue each Sunday in May (May 8, May 15, May 22, and May 29) with more celebrity chefs preparing dishes for guests and authors making appearances and signing copies of their books.
