“Come outside! I’m in the car!” Josh Flagg says over the phone in his signature raspy voice. The esteemed real estate agent and star of Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles is at valet sitting inside a Rolls-Royce 1960 Silver Cloud Convertible. He’s asked to meet at the Four Seasons Hotel off Doheny, where he currently resides. That’s right. The 30-year-old — who makes his living by selling homes — has been living in a hotel since last year. “I just can’t seem to stay in a house,” he shrugs. “I keep buying houses, and people keep offering me more money for them — right after I buy them.”
Flagg had just come from West Hollywood’s Heritage Classics Motorcar Company, where he’d been eyeing a vehicle he’s interested in buying. “I’ve loved cars since I was a child,” he explains, as we pull out of the hotel’s driveway. The plan is to drive around town and discuss real estate, but for now, who can shrug off such a beautiful car? “My grandmother used to drive Rolls-Royces, and I guess that’s what got me into them. New cars, you buy them, and they go down in value the minute you take them off the lot. An old classic car only goes up — granted, you’ve probably spent more money just maintaining the car over the time, but at the end of the day, these cars are incredible investments.” Flagg reportedly owns a fleet of Rolls-Royces, though he’s mum on the details. “I’d rather not say how many, but quite a few,” he says slyly, before noting he also owns a Corniche, Mercedes, Jaguar and Porsche.
