Spoke & Weal Salon Reveals Revamp

By Carole Dixon

Spoke & Weal, the salon concept founded by Jon Reyman and Christine Thompson, has just revealed a complete revamp and continues to hold their spot in West Hollywood as a disruptor in the salon industry. The new space is open and airy but the same professional staff and great service remain.

For a start, when you walk in frazzled from your day, a staff member gives you a quick neck massage with an aromatherapy Aveda oil to calm you down and prepare you for the salon treatment whether its a full color, cut or just a blow-out. This is a truly unique amenity and one that we can no longer live without before an appointment.

The brand experts are also on the move expanding across the U.S. Since opening the first Spoke & Weal in 2013, the duo has unveiled eight locations across the country bringing together the best talent to give their clients an unparalleled experience. Jon and Christine spend their time traveling across the country from city to city educating their teams so they can master the Spoke & Weal techniques. They have created a business around building a culture that promotes wellness, strives for excellence, supports collaboration, and fosters creativity. Says Reyman, “We always want to understand our success and exposure comes from our talent and drive and not from a once-removed resource.”

Spoke & Weal has evolved from the antiquated wet hair cutting methods and believe in cutting clients hair dry. Length and density can be managed more carefully. They can deliver better haircuts in less time. In 2018 the team launched Custom Color, a new way to experience and pay for hair color where clients schedule sessions with their color specialists at one all-inclusive price. This pricing enables the colorist to have one single focus during the client’s consultation process: to deliver exactly what the client wants to achieve with their hair color. The set price is known upfront, so the client doesn’t have to worry about expensive add-on options that come up through an a-la-cart appointment. Spoke & Weal only utilizes natural, responsibly sourced products that deliver the results they are looking for.

As the salon concept expands, Jon and Christine and the experienced Spoke & Weal staff are more dedicated than ever to provide exceptional services to their clients nationwide. They are driven by giving guests the best all-around experience. As Christine says, “The success has been more a Field of Dreams situation: if we build it, they will come.”
