Last night, Delta Air Lines announced Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo (of Animal, Son of a Gun and Jon & Vinny’s fame) as their newest in-flight culinary partners. With all the foodie festivities for the evening taking place at the Delta ALTITUDE pop-up in Los Angeles, the experiential event also showcased the new Alessi-designed collection of serviceware, premium seasonal wine program by Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson, and Macallan Double Cast 12-year Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
Beginning in late fall, Delta One customers on flights from LAX to JFK and DCA will enjoy creations inspired by the duo’s local restaurants. The new menus will feature local, fresh and seasonal ingredients, and will be reflective of the fare served at Shook and Dotolo’s popular establishments. The chef-driven menus highlight the airline’s industry-leading focus on providing seasonally and regionally-inspired cuisine to customers.
In addition, Delta Air Lines and Infatuation LA have partnered to offer Text Rex exclusively to LA-based Delta SkyMiles members beginning June 26 through December 2017. Text Rex is a new-to-market restaurant recommendation service in which real experts give you on-demand, personalized restaurant suggestions via text message in real-time. Simply message Text Rex with your specific restaurant needs and leave the stress of combing through dozens of options to a team of trusted foodies who know all the best and up-and-coming spots!
