Capitol Drugs/Power Zone and West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce (WHCC) will hold their bi-annual Sample Saturday & Health Fair on Santa Monica Boulevard on Saturday, October 21st, 2017 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Over hundred-fifty health and fitness vendors, local businesses and community organizations will have booths throughout the sidewalk alongside Santa Monica Boulevard between Westbourne Drive and North West Knoll Drive. Participating companies and organizations will be sampling products, offering giveaways and information about their businesses. Services include Health Screenings by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, information on preventative care, HIV and AIDS, PrEP, treatment programs for drug and alcohol abuse, skin care and more.
For the first time, long-time strategic partner, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a regular contributor and participant offering health screenings, is bringing COACH for Kids and Their Families, a program of the Cedars-Sinai Maxine Dunitz Children’s Health Center. COACH provides no-cost health and social services to underserved communities in Los Angeles.
The event is free to the public and is expected to attract more than two-thousand attendees. “Creative City is evolving and so are we, with the expansion of Sample Saturday & Health Fair to address children’s health and fitness, with Cedars-Sinai’s COACH for Kids and Their Families.”
“West Hollywood is a Mecca for everything health, fitness, beauty and well-being and we’re bringing the best-of-the-best to the community with this event,” said WHCC President and CEO, Genevieve Morrill.
